Levi Benkert was playing with his children in the park when he received an urgent phone call from a friend asking him to drop everything and fly to Ethiopia to help organize a rescue orphanage for children destined to be murdered as part of a tribal superstition known as “mingi killings.” Moved by his friend’s story, Levi packed his bags and left for what he thought would be a short two-week trip. But upon meeting the children, Levi knew there was no turning back. Six weeks later, Levi, his wife, Jessie, and their three young children sold their home and all their belongings and relocated to Ethiopia indefinitely. No Greater Love documents Levi’s journey—from the challenges he faced establishing and running the orphanage to finding adoptive homes for the children.

It ends with a biography and a revealing conversation with Mother Teresa about the specific challenges and joys present in her work with the poor and dying. Published to celebrate her canonization in 2016, this Commemorative Edition also includes Pope John Paul II’s homily from her Beatification Mass in 2003. No Greater Love was written throughout the last 40 years. I have dedicated this book to my mother, grandmother and mother in law. Each of these beautiful women contributed such a valuable part to my life and my growth. My mother Margaret Frieze was such a loving and tender woman. She has left me with so many really fantastic memories. I was truly fortunate to have been placed in her life. since i was raised by my grandparents i always felt like both a daughter and a sister to my mom. it was as we both grew older that our lives became so entwinded. i always understood her, always respected her, and always loved her with my entire heart. the last words she ever spoke to me were I LOVE YOU. My grandmother Marie Jenkins was such a pioneer. she was the most dependable, reliable and steady person i think i have ever known. her death was my first time for losing someone so very special to me. she would be followed by my mother in law and stepfather in 1987, my brother Michael in 1990 and then my son Michael and his cousin Matthew Jenkins within 8 weeks of each other in the end of 2002 and beginning of 2003. it is my grandmother to whom i give the most credit for giving me the tenacity to face difficult situations and still remain strong. if i hadn ́t had her example before me things would have been much more difficult. My mother in law Lenora Derryberry was an angel. she embodied the essence of love, hope, faith and caring. A more beautiful person you would be wont to find. She was the most wonderful person i ever knew. the faith that she shared with me became my foundation when my life has taken a strange twist or two. if i did not have my faith i never would have been able to survive this last year. So my second book "No Greater Love" is a testament of what was given me love without reservations. unconditional love no matter what. we all make mistakes in our life but it is our growth from life ́s upsets that defines who we are. i would like everyone coming away from this book to feel refreshed and know that if you really want to you can change anything.

Which road are you on for your marriage—yours or God’s? Inspired by the heartwarming movie No Greater Love, executive producer Russ Rice and co-writer and director Brad Silverman have created this 90-day devotional for couples to help husbands and wives dig deeper into the mystery of marriage, addressing what it means to truly love your spouse in the sacrificial and unconditional way God loves us. Each devotion invites couples to keep God at the center of their relationship, to improve their communication skills, and to strengthen their commitment to each other. Topics include commitment, trust, truth, forgiveness, reconciliation, and more. Each devotion offers a real-life snapshot from marriage, questions for discussion, and action points. A couple’s marriage will not be the same after these ninety days. Why? Because there is no greater love between two people than a love grounded in and empowered by God’s love. Foreward by Dennis Rainey. "This book is an action plan for having the kind of marriage that stands strong when the storms of life come. A marriage that provides your family with a stable, healthy home. And above all else, a marriage that honors and glorifies God." --Dennis Rainey, President, FamilyLife
